The 16mm PTFE Gland Packing Rope is a premium sealing solution designed for demanding agricultural and industrial environments. Made from 100% pure PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), this packing rope offers exceptional chemical resistance against a wide range of acids, alkalis, solvents, and corrosive media. Its low coefficient of friction minimizes shaft wear and reduces power consumption, making it an efficient choice for various rotating and reciprocating equipment. The braided construction ensures high density and dimensional stability, providing a reliable and long-lasting seal even under high pressures and temperatures. Ensure the gland area is clean and free of old packing material. Cut the PTFE gland packing rope into rings of appropriate length, ensuring a clean, angled cut for a tight fit. Install rings one by one, staggering the cuts by 90 degrees to prevent leakage paths. Compress each ring evenly with the gland follower. Do not overtighten initially; allow for a break-in period and adjust as needed to achieve a drip-free seal.
