This comprehensive set features a range of grit sizes, typically from coarse (e.g., 50, 100) for initial grinding and material removal, to medium (e.g., 200, 400, 800) for smoothing and refining, and finally to very fine (e.g., 1500, 3000) for achieving a mirror-like, high-gloss polish. Each pad is designed for wet or dry use (check specific product instructions) and offers excellent durability and longevity, making them ideal for both professional stone fabricators and DIY enthusiasts looking to restore or enhance their stone surfaces. The flexible design ensures even contact and consistent results across various contours.
Attach the appropriate grit pad to your polishing machine (angle grinder, wet polisher, etc.). Start with the lowest grit number (coarsest) to remove imperfections and shape the surface. Progress through finer grits, ensuring thorough cleaning between each grit change to avoid scratching. Use water for wet polishing to reduce dust and cool the pads, extending their life and improving finish quality. Apply even pressure and move the polisher steadily across the surface. Finish with the highest grit for a brilliant shine.
Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gloves, and a dust mask. Ensure the pads are securely attached to the polishing machine before operation. Do not exceed the maximum RPM specified for the pads and your machine. Use wet polishing for best results and to minimize dust, especially on delicate surfaces. Keep out of reach of children.
